It's Friday so it's time for the game previews for this week. Also it's Veteran's Day so if any Veterans are reading this I'm honored and thank you for your service we wouldn't be here without you.
South Carolina vs. Florida: Only three coaches have ever had the opportunity to coach two SEC teams. The great Bear Bryant and the angry Nick Saban. You know who the third is? Will Muschamp! WILL MUSCHAMP!!! Looking at the picture above he might be even angrier than Nick Saban which must be how he got the job. That's just primal rage right there. Anyways Florida sucks on offense and South Carolina looks to have gotten their act together. Jake Bentley is the player to watch in this one.
Writer's Picks:
James: South Carolina
Palmer: South Carolina
Cole:Florida
Jake: South Carolina
#2 Clemson vs. Pitt: At the beginning of the season this game worried me. Now, I'm not so scared. Pitt is still a decent team but it seems this Clemson team has their eyes on the prize. Pitt's player to watch is James Conner. He's a former ACC offensive Player of Year, but got hurt last year. The injury was a blessing in disguise because his doctors found out he had cancer. Conner is currently cancer free and he has an amazing story about overcoming adversity. Make no mistake though it's senior day in Clemson and the Tigers will be ready to play.
Writer's Picks:
James: Clemson
Palmer: Clemson
Cole:Clemson
Jake: Clemson
#20 USC vs. #4 Washington: If Washington wasn't on the west coast and didn't play all their games at 3 AM while we're all asleep Jake Browning would be higher up on Heisman watch lists. Browning has the Huskies offense humming, but they're up against a USC team that is on the rise after falling off the cliff to start the season.
Writer's Picks:
James: Washington
Palmer: USC
Cole: USC
Jake : Washington
#24 LSU vs. #25 Arkansas: Yes that right, the Battle For the Golden Boot is upon us! For those of you that don't know if you look at a map you'll see Louisiana and Arkansas together look like a boot. The geography departments from Fayetteville and Baton Rouge apparently carry a lot of weight and the Golden Boot Trophy was born!
Writer's Picks:
James: LSU
Palmer: LSU
Cole: LSU
Jake: LSU
Texas vs. #16 West Virginia: Since Charlie Strong took over calling plays for the defense the Long Horns have drastically improved. If he wins this game I think he keeps his job at least another year. I don't think they will and people in West Virginia are stocking up on couch fire insurance.
Writer's Picks:
James: WVU
Palmer: Texas
Cole:WVU
Jake:Texas
Upset of the Week: It's Friday and we're all trying to have fun so here's the upset of the week. It probably won't happen, but if it does I'll look like a genius.
Kentucky(+14) at Tennessee
Kentucky is a 14 point underdog to Tennessee. A Biblical plague of injuries has hit Knoxville so this one could bounce the Wildcats way. Either they don't lose by 14 or they win the game outright. Then again it's basketball season in Lexington so who cares?
